October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. This year we will be donating our raised funds to Baton Rouge General Mid City. On Friday October 20th, students can wear their pink BRCVPA spirit shirt only. These shirts can be purchased for $10 through the office or online. For $1.00, student can wear jeans that day. .  Please see the attached link for the updated 2023-2024 Calendar. This calendar was updated by the school board on September 7, 2023. Please note that November 17th was originally a virtual day for students, is now a full school day.  Mark your calendars! This Wednesday night is our Pizza with a Purpose Fundraiser at California Pizza Kitchen in Perkins Rowe! Bring this Flyer (or show this image) to your server and 20% of food and beverage sales will be donated back to BRCVPA. Take a night off from cooking, bring the kids, and enjoy a night out to eat with your BRCVPA Family!  Dear BRCVPA Teachers, Staff, Parents, and Students, Please help us by nominating a teacher to represent BRCVPA for the 2022-2023 school year. We have so many outstanding educators at BRCVPA, so this is always a difficult decision. The candidate should have the ability to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities, and to help them reach their fullest potential. The BRCVPA teacher of the year should have the respect and admiration of the students, parents, and colleagues. They should play an active role in the community and work diligently to enhance the the arts-based program in which we believe here at BRCVPA. Orders must be in by April 27th.  Our October Star Celebration will be Trunk or Treat in the BRCVPA parking lot! We are looking for parents willing to decorate their trunks and hand out candy for the event. Can't make it? No worries! You can still participate by donating individually wrapped candy or small toys to be handed out to the students. Please note: due to time/space constraints, only parents with "trunks" will be able to attend. If you want to combine with a friend and share a trunk, that is fine! More details to come, but we defintiely need volunteers to make this happen!  Several of our BRCVPA Super Stars will be in Baton Rouge Ballet Theatre's production of the Nutcracker: Tale from the Bayou this holiday season. Madisen, Ivy, and Kate started rehearsing this weekend. They will be Cherubs this year! We'll also see 5th grader Edmund and our very own Drama teacher Mr. C! Visit this LINK for more information.
