We wish everyone who celebrates a very Merry Christmas and a continued happy holiday season!
And a VERY MUCH NEEDED Winter Break! See you next year! Last school year, Ms. Feigley went through the Maintenance of Certification process in Reading/Language/Arts in Early & Middle Childhood to renew her National Board Certification. In May of 2023, she submitted a portfolio of two components that draw upon Professional Growth Experiences (PGEs) related to her original teaching certificate area. It takes approximately six months for the assessors to review submissions. She was notified recently that she was recertified for another five years. Way to go, Ms. Feigley!
We had SNOW much fun as this year's Winter Luncheon for 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade. It was wonderful to see so many of our BRCVPA families and friends. Take a look at the pictures from the photo booth, and grab your own copy at the link to the Google Drive Folder below.
Last weekend our very own 5th grader Jane performed on her harp during the annual Christmas Concert. Take a look at some of the pictures and watch the videos of er playing. We love to see our superstars in their element, whether at school or at home or on weekends. Please send your witner break activity pictures to Ms. Vicknair at jvicknair@ebrschools.org so we can share them with our BRCVPA family.

Our teachers enoyed a great holiday luncheon yesterday afternoon! Everyone had such a great time. The food was catered by Montalbano's and featured Chicken Pasta, tossed salad, hush puppies, and boudin balls. We want to thank Raising Cane's for donating tea and lemonade and cups. Thank you so much to the Kenilworth Civic Association who donated a delicious cake. The PTO was a great help; they donated paper goods and desserts. And finally a HUGE thank you to our wonderful Parent Volunteers, who selflessly offered to watch the students while their teachers were able to dine and visit together. Take a look at some of the fun from the Teacher Photo Booth and some pictures from the luncheon. Tomorrow, December 12th, you can wear a red top and accessories with your uniform bottoms!

Our first graders continuously expand their vocabulary through the multiple texts that are read in class. While reading the story Seven Blind Mice by Ed Young, the students learned how to define the word collage as well as identify the components that make up one. After being tasked with creating a collage using objects that represent the colors of the rainbow, these beautiful pieces came about. Please take the time to enjoy their work! |
