On Friday February 25, 2022 we held our annual Brotherhood, Sisterhood Award ceremony. These awards recognize one faculty member, one staff member, one male student, and one female student, who exemplify what it means to be a good citizen. These 4 honorees actively serve our school community, lead and inspire others, break personal barriers, and lead exemplary lives, all towards the goal of equality and togetherness. Now, more than ever, we need this award and awareness to assist in recognizing all the good happening in our community. Faculty Sisterhood - Ashley Gaubert Mrs. Gaubert was chosen because:
Our guest speaker for the event was Ms. Rodneyna Hart. Ms. Hart has worked as an artist, board member, exhibitions manager, preparator, and curator for various galleries and museums throughout Louisiana. Advocating for more inclusive and intersectional cultural spaces, Hart created pop-up art events open to all with an educational component providing resources for emerging artists. She reestablished and served as Executive Director for the not-for-profit organization Culture Candy. She served on the state arts Council and was a Baton Rouge Business Reports 40 Under Forty. January of 2019, Ms. Hart accepted the position of Division Director for the Louisiana State Museum overseeing the four regional museums.
