CARPOOL, BUS, EXTENDED DAY, OH MY!

Thank you all for your patience today. We understand that arrival, transportation, and dismissal can be frustrating, but we assure you that it will get better. Here are some important updates:

• Please complete the new "How Does My Child Get Home" form again today. This information is specific to TOMORROW, August 10. Please fill it out even if the method of dismissal is the same as yesterday. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE THE FORM.
• Carpool parents:
  
  • Please do not block traffic on Kenilworth Parkway. Pull over to the right as much as possible so cars can get by. Please do not block driveways or buses, and be patient as everyone gets used to the procedures.
  • DO NOT SWITCH LANES in the carpool line. This is extremely dangerous. Lines are painted to guide cars and to keep our students safe.
  • NO WALK-UPS except for students who live in the neighborhood and have registered as walkers in the front office. The duty staff cannot have conversations with parents and conduct carpool safely.
    
  • Every child arriving after 7:50 a.m. MUST wait in the carpool line. (Even if your bus did not show up).
    
  • Students must exit and enter cars from the passenger side. This is a state law.
  • Please follow all directives from the carpool staff.
  • We understand that everyone has somewhere to be, and we are trying to get you there. Following the procedures creates an safe and efficient system.
• Extended Day Parents:
  • To save yourself a headache and unnecessary waiting, please do not arrive to pick up your child before 4:30. Carpool will smooth out, but at this time, Extended Day cars mixed with carpool cars cause confusion and delays. We also don't want pedestrians in the carpool area. You will not be charged for picking up between 4:30 and 4:45 if you are an Early PM Extended Day Parent.
